Browser v1.30.0: visual structure editor
Every tagged PDF can now open in a full-screen visual editor that shows the tag structure directly on the rendered pages. Colored, labeled outlines mark each element's role; select any block to review it. Three views over the same pages: Structure (retag paragraphs and heading levels, or mark content decorative), Reading order (numbered positions with move controls), and Images (description status on each figure, with editing and the existing guided review).
The editor is fully keyboard operable, with a built-in key reference and screen-reader announcements for selection and every change. Role changes cover paragraphs, heading levels, and decorative marking; tables, lists, links, and form fields keep their dedicated review tools. Applying a change runs an automatic recheck, undo restores the previous copy, and changes that cannot be applied safely are skipped with a stated reason rather than guessed. Elements without a screen location are listed beside the page. This editor does not certify reading experience or whole-document compliance; complex structures may still need source-file or specialist repair.

Windows 2.1.0: guided PDF repair
The offline Windows workspace now includes the PDF header editor, reviewed formatting-table conversion, conservative empty-container cleanup, image-description coaching, chart companion HTML, and folder-import recovery from browser versions 1.27 through 1.29.
OCR and image-description resources are bundled. AI descriptions remain drafts requiring human review, and chart companions do not modify the PDF. Complex or uncertain structures may still require source-file or specialist repair.
How to get it: Close your existing copy, then run the Windows installer or extract the complete portable ZIP into a new folder. Updates are not automatic. The installer remains unsigned.
Browser v1.29.0: table headers and chart companions
Review individual PDF table cells and select the headers needed to understand each value, including broader and specific headings. Promote data cells to headers, preserve existing merged-cell spans and IDs, then approve and apply the relationships. Applying runs an automatic recheck; undo restores the previous copy.
Automatic and simple header repairs now preserve detected complex relationships and explain when source-file or specialist review is needed. The detailed editor handles up to 200 existing tagged cells. Nested tables, shared attribute classes and malformed structures may require specialist help. These checks do not certify header accuracy or whole-document compliance.
For a chart, create a companion HTML explanation with verified source data and row/column headers. Preview it and review every value before downloading. Any AI draft requires human review. Creating the companion does not update the PDF: add or link it beside the chart in the source document.

Browser v1.28.0: deeper PDF repair
Removes verified empty content containers while retaining content references, semantic information and uncertain tags. Missing extracted text alone no longer makes a paragraph eligible for deletion.
Review each table with page context. Confirm formatting-only tables to replace table semantics with readable content groupings. Text, images and nested data tables stay available. Shared style attributes require specialist help. Bulk conversion based on row or column counts is disabled.
Applying table choices runs an automatic recheck; undo clears the completed review status. Check reading order and meaning in the downloaded PDF. Complex table relationships, equations and whole-document conformance still need review.

Review what an image communicates with page context, examples and help deciding when to ask a qualified accessibility reviewer. For untagged PDFs, an explicit preparation step creates experimental structure that still needs checking.
Each description or decorative choice requires your review before applying. Editing a decision clears its approval. AI suggestions remain drafts requiring human review. Applying descriptions runs another automatic check; structure, reading order and other findings still need attention.
Folder imports preserve readable files when another item fails and show a warning for skipped items. Document and review state remain in temporary page memory.

Synthetic workflow checks passed. Independent specialist review and novice usability evaluation remain pending; this update does not establish whole-document compliance.

Separate output folders help prevent files with the same name from overwriting each other. Background processing and validator-result checks are improved.

What still needs your review
Automatic fixes and AI descriptions do not certify a document as accessible. Review the finished copy in its intended reader and complete the remaining human checks. HTML reading copies are drafts to compare with the original.
The Windows release is unsigned. Installation information and verification checksums are on the download page. Mac beta remains at v1.13 and is not part of this update.
